Twenty-six (26) single parents and 478 youths from Regions Two, Three, Four, Five, SixOne of the graduates receives his certificate from President Donald Ramotarand 10 yesterday graduated from the Single Parents’ Board of Industrial Training (BIT) and the National Training Project for Youth Empowerment (NTPYE), respectively, at the National Cultural Centre, Georgetown.Coreen Connelly, Project Coordinator for the NTPYE, explained that there are 423 single parents who benefitted from this programme for 2011, inclusive of yesterday’s graduates.Sixty-six (66) of these have already secured jobs in various fields. And they are saying that the population is growing fairly rapidly and probably before the next 40 years or so we will have about eight billion people on our planet,” the President asserted.The Head of State urged the graduates to make most of what they have learnt and to further develop their skills and knowledge in the various areas.
