She was sure that there was some doctor she hadn’t visited as yet that held the key to her overwhelming discomfort.But all she received were prescriptions for pain tablets, which of course eased the pain for awhile, but was then followed by what she described as a “blazing”.“Nobody was able to tell me what was causing it and sometimes my whole right or left side would get lifeless…I would have to lie down all the time but couldn’t get no sleep; I would toss and turn in pain.”She eventually came to a point in her life where she started considering her husband’s suggestion. After all, he was a church-goer himself and worked with people who believed that prayers can change things.But Gurdayal’s upbringing certainly did not teach her that.“I never could believe that just prayer can help you.
